Chris & Michael’s wedding at Veritas Vineyards was pure love from start to finish. A true modern classic. Many congratulations to them, and thanks for coming all the way from Bermuda to Virginia to share the love.
Thanks to Colleen Miller Events and the whole team for crafting a super special day.
Be sure to check out their video below too!
Maren & Joey’s wedding at Pippin Hill was quite a party! This cool couple lucked out with an unseasonably cool summer day in Virginia, but brought the heat later on the dance floor. Congratulations to them and their families!
Eileen & Jamil’s wedding at Verulam Farm was a blast! With rain predicted in the forecast all week, it had the common courtesy to not show up until Verulam’s weather-proof barn was transformed into an epic dance party, which showered all the guests with a refreshing mist as they left into the night after a beaming sparkler exit. A beautiful day for all during a beautiful time here in Virginia!
Thanks to Kennon @ Verulam Farm, DJ Derek Tobler, C&O Catering, Hedge Fine Blooms, and Sweethaus!
Emmy & Lee’s wedding was one for the books! Their mid-November wedding closed out our 2015 season, and brought the love from start to finish. The cherry on top photographically was their post-daylight savings time wedding ceremony at twilight, which was amazing to shoot (props to Blue Ridge AV!)
Wonderful planning by Shindig Events and the stunning Pippin Hill brought it all together. Throw a little Dickens Band in there, and the party was brought!
See ya in 2016!
Some shots from Lindsey & Anoop’s October wedding at Main Street Arena. From the traditional Indian Baraat on the Downtown Mall to the photos at the UVA Lawn (with a quick stop at The Virginian!), this was one for the books. Planned by Colleen Miller Events.
Weston and Dan’s wedding at Belle Haven this Fall was beyond words. Weston and Dan live in San Francisco, CA and decided to get married in Virginia, and really nailed it with their day at Belle Haven in Scottsville, VA. I’ll let the photos do the rest of the talking…
Sorry for the lack of blogg-age lately. Lame on my part, no way around that.
It’s been a great few months of shooting lots of weddings, some traveling, and seeing music so figured I’d take some time check back in with the Internet here!
I shot this wedding a few weeks ago outside of Washington, DC at the Audubon Naturalist Society. It was one of the most culturally and visually unique weddings I’ve shot, and a super fun couple on top of everything else! Great times.
The influences at Meena and Jeta’s wedding were both Indian and African, and included everything from the North Indian tradition of a Baraat to the Igbo (Nigerian) tradition of throwing banknotes around the couple while dancing during the reception. Oh, and of course the age-old American traditions of the Groom pounding a Red Bull 20 minutes before the ceremony, and the Bride taking a selfie with her bridesmaids. Very cool stuff.
It was truly a night to be remembered, and also reminded that weddings can be a powerful nod to past traditions while also being the start of a beautiful new future.
